I was a guest of the Shanghai Port Authority about 12 years ago. My guide always ordered exotic food instead of the standard fare. I guess he couldn't afford it all the time. I found the broiled fish head platter (i.e., just five broiled fish heads) to be a bit much. I had never seen a person devour a fish head and I had trouble eating the delicacy which is the eyeball. Thank God for the snake soup in that at least I had something in my stomach.

My lovers the past few years have been from japan and China. We eat many things Americans may think are weird. How about live lobster and shrimp? Some chinese like dog meat, but none of my lovers has cooked any.

LMAO for real? EWWWWWWWW I always knew there was something about you... lol. The weirdest thing I've ever had was hummus. Sounds like nothing, but thats some of the grossest cultural food my father could've ever given me. BLAH!

I ate a piece of cake which looked weird and ended up tasting of blue cheese. It was supposed to be chocolate!

The weirdest looking and tasting IMHO is tripe. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.
Liver is a close second, but I just can't over the look and the texture of tripe.
