It could have something to do with the roots or insects. Your link is not working so please try again or at least tell us what the plant is and where you are.

EDIT: your links still aren't working, but knowing that it is a house plant and that you have not changed your watering practices then It could be that it has developed a root rot or simply needs to be repotted. Either way, it would benefit from repotting. When you move it to a larger container be sure to inspect the roots and make sure they are white to creamy white in color. If there are any black or brown roots then cut the off. Also, make sure the roots are not growing in a circular direction around the root ball. If they are then you will need to ease them apart so that they will point downward in the new pot. I'm also assuming that you have not moved it to a new location. As the seasons change the sun will shine at different angles through the windows so make sure your plant is not sitting in direct sunlight. Most indoor plants only require indirect or filtered light and can burn if in direct sun light. Without knowing exactly what it is and it's conditions, I can only speculate, but I hope this helps a little.
Good Luck

EDIT2: That looks like a schefflera and a very sad one at that. Here is an article about schefflera plant care. It's pretty much what I said but from the looks of the picture your plant needs more light. It seems very dark even though there is light and a shadow, but I can't tell if that is from natural light, ambient lighting, or the flash from your camera. Try placing it next to a sunny window, but not in the sun itself.

Picture of healthy schefflera. Notice the bright indirect light on the plant. The light should be bright enough that it will cast a shadow.

it seems hard to believe watering has been the same but on the other hand i am sure your temperatures have not been the same since last year are you sticking your finger all the way down in the soil to make sure this plant really needs water ?Did you change the plants location or does the plant need to be re potted the most cause of plant leaves turning brown to black is it is sitting in water therefore causing root rot.You need to check your size pot and cut off all dying leaves transplant if necessary and cut down on the watering most plants do better under watered than over watered
