Don't forget EVERY single federal employee, and every congressman and woman. They ALL get health care off the backs of tax payers. And Bush and Cheney will get free health care until they die from the tax dollars of Americans, ever AFTER they leave office.

Not as much as we pay for Congressmen and Senators. Senators, almost across the board, are well past the 'wealthy' bracket and firmly into the "very rich" with more than a few into the "obscenely loaded". Yet after 20, 30 or even more years, we still pay for their Docs and meds.

And what they have isn't socialized medicine. It's government health care. The difference being, in their case, the government pays the bills In Socialized Medicine, the government runs the hospitals, the docs and nurses are government employees, the government decides what treatment and meds you will get.

It is not unreasonable for the government to pay for the president and vice president to be in good health. The US government would look weak and stupid if the president had to stand in line at the local doctor's office. The president should also have most expenses paid so he can focus on the job of the presidency and not have to raise private income while in office. You probably don't like Bush and Cheney, but this is a sound policy and Clinton and every other president in the modern era had their healthcare covered as well. Senators, representatives, and most other government employees also have government sponsored healthcare plans.
This is not really socialized medicine because the healthcare benefits are conditioned on employment with the government. Employers cover most healthcare plans in this country, and if you happened to be employed by the government, the government will sponsor your healthcare plan similar to how a private employer might.

Better yet, ask how much money taxpayers have to pay for the extension of prescription drug plan for senior citizens that Bush expanded.

Everything the govt does we pay for. This is such a small amount it doesn't even register. Earmarks are a much more serious issue.

Federal spending is a huge problem, especially with the bill we would have to pay for if the social programs purposed by Clinton are enacted.

???

Do you mean paying for Bush and Cheney's health care?

Ironic, especially considering they're both rolling in dough.

If you mean something else, you need to explain your question in such a way that others can figure out what you're asking.

We pay lots since Chaney is overweight with a heart problem. How many of the senate & congress is in that same boat too. Many of them are geriatric!

They don't have "socialized" medicine. They have employer-paid benefits. We employed them, and they're getting health care as a benefit.

Calling it "socialized" only illustrates shallowness and insipidness.
