lets see:

Career Stats:
kobe - lebron
24.7 - 26.9 ppg
5.2 - 6.7 reb
4.6 - 6.5 ast
1.5 - 1.8 stl
0.6 - 0.8 blk
2.9 - 3.3 turnovers

Lebron beats Kobe in every category except TO's by a very marginal percent.

Kobe has the championships, but he had the best center of our time on his team. Kobe and Lebron's supporting cast are equal in their mediocrity.

I say Lebron will be the better of the two when its all said & done. He wouldn't need a shaq. if you give him back carlos boozer they probably beat the spurs, or at least take it 6 games.

don't take anything from kobe. he's a superb talent and these two are easily the two best in the league. and its a close call.

kobe has more offensive skills and plays better defense, but lebron's defense has improved huge this season and his jumpshot is better than ever. they both have the killer instinct a winner needs.

LEBRON IS 22. HE CAN ONLY GET BETTER.

give lebron time. he'll prove me right.

What up Dr. Love,

The question is who is the better player, not who is having the better season. So for those who are already anointing LeBron let's keep in mind that we're only 14-15 games into the season- Kobe has been playing at his current level for years.

I think the two are very comparable in terms of overall stats.

The edge goes to Kobe because of his defense. Kobe can be a lockdown defender and still score like crazy. LeBron is beginning to learn that and there is no saying that he may not one day surpass Kobe- but today and now- Kobe is by far the superior defender and he has been very committed to playing D since the FIBA Americas-- i think that's something LeBron picked up from him.

When you ask who would you want to shoot the ball with the game on the line: Kobe is #1, and Agent Zero or Dwayne Wade are ahead of LeBron on this list. Yes, LeBron's game is improving and he's had a couple of big fourth quarter performances but no one does it so regularly and so difficultly than Kobe. Can you honestly tell me you'd want LeBron to take a shot with the game on the line over Kobe?

Lastly, everyone dogs on Kobe because of personal dislike for his personality. If you watch the Lakers, Kobe does not try to score every point- and if you want to give LeBron all these props for developing- you'll see that Kobe has been passing a-lot (there have been times this year where he hasn't shot enough). He may end up with 5-7 assists per game (but he really should be closer to 10) his teammates miss a lot of gimmes. Yes, Le Bron is the better passer, but if you want to give LeBron credit for the changes he's made to his game-- Kobe should be given credit for the way he's been a team guy. Yes we have all the crap in the media, but in terms of on the court- Kobe has been a team guy and leader.

If anything i think Kobe and LeBron are in the same boat. i would say LeBron has a slightly stronger supporting cast- but i also see a Passion and desire to win in Kobe that i do not see in LeBron (LeBron doesn't seem like he's going to die if he doesn't win a championship)... Kobe let it beknown publically... ya it wasn't the right way to handle it- but i see a Passion in Kobe that i do not see in LeBron and that "killer instinct" and passion to get better along with the reasons above make me give the nod to Kobe.

Wow. Listen to all the Kobe haters. There is no way that Lebron is even close to Kobe. Kobe is a beast. He is the greatest. Hands down.

And for all you haters who say all Kobe does is ball hog, have no idea what you are talking about. Obviously you don't watch Laker games and just talk out of your ***. Phil Jackson just had a interview begging for Kobe to shoot the ball more. All Kobe does is pass the ball for the first 3 quarters and then kill the 4th quarter.

If your going to talk **** make sure you watch the games before trying to be a smart ***.

This question is a joke. No comparison. Even Lebron knows it.

LeBron is the obvious choice. Kobe is nothing but a ball hog who wants to score every point for his team. You can see that he has no faith in his teammates, which he why he complained during the off season to be traded. LeBron is a better all around teammate. He rebounds, assists, and scores. True, he hasn't won a championship yet, but Kobe hasn't even been close since Shaq left.

It's a tough call. LeBron has the longevity and freakish athletic talent but Kobe has the killer instinct, clutch shooting and experience.

Right now, I'd say Kobe, he's a more complete offensive weapon (and his d isn't that bad actually), shoots the 3, can go "mid-range", can drive to the hoop, doesn't pass enough tho, but makes the clutch shot.

If LeBron had a good swingman that didn't get hurt (a Pippen or Ginobli-type) he would be unstoppable. The Cavs need a legit point guard 2.
