I need some new tires for my truck,a nd am looking at several different tires. I want something that looks pretty aggressive, but still will last on the road. I really dont wan tto spend over $150-170 on one tire, so what is cheap and looks good? I really dont get into mud alot, but i do some, so i do want something that will do decent in mud. Ive been looking at Cooper Discoverer ST and STT, Wild Country TXR's and Pro Comp All terrains. I am running the stock rims, so i am looking at 285's on the stock 16 inch rims. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thanks.

I have the Maxxis Bighorn radials in 285/75r/16" on my Chevrolet Silverado. They run quiet on the street and dig like crazy offroad. And I only paid $525.00 for 4 mounted balanced and out the door. I have included a link below to see how they look on my truck

I'm running with the Toyo Open Country tires on my 1994 Silverado Blazer, and I have no complaints. I put them on last September, and did not use 4-wheel drive once last winter (Indiana winters). They do pretty well on highway travel too, as I'm sure all all-terrain tires give off some pretty noticeable road noise. Good luck in your search.

I used to have a 91 k1500 4x4.....the last set of tires I had on there were Kelley AT TrailBusters....they were a touch on the loud side on the road, but I NEVER fishtailed on snow/ice, and I had almost 45k miles on them and I still had full tread...
Also keep in mind that I was 18 and stupid and I beat on that truck pretty bad...spinning tires and such. The rears still refused to wear. They were pretty heavy, so rotating them was a workout, but it was worth it in tire life.

I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4wd and have BFG A T KO on it and it has a nice tread pattern. Doesn't do great in the mud though, but they grab on slick roads well.

My old 4Runner had Goodyear Wrangler's on them and they definitely held their own on snow and in the mud, but were a little loud on the roads. The new Nokian Vativa's have amazing grip and are extremely smooth and quiet, but still perform well offroad.

I've never been dissapointed with Cooper tires. I've been using Cooper for about 10 years now. They have the best tread life I've seen.
