What, are you talking tree's as in the living thing our houses are made of?
Nature. Starts getting cold and the tree has to save energy so they drop there leaves.....Warm weather the trees do not have to do this. Bugs (peach tree curl), disease. Roots not doing well will cause this too (not the right plants environment, to much water, etc.).

it is a part of the natural cycle of life for organic things - we renew parts of our bodies throughout the life - we shed our skin cells and hair - and trees lose leaves

in case of trees the Nature's objective is to grow new younger leaves that function better

after summer is over then Fall comes and all the trees get naked. Fall must be pretty hot to get all those trees naked so quickly.
