The other day a large chunk of snow fell off of a rooftop and bashed me in the head. Almost immeidately I was approached by an attorney (one of those ambulance-chaser types), who suggested that we pursue a lawsuit against the owner of the building. I gave him the finger and walked away as the building was an orphanage, proceeding with caution and my eyes angled upwards considering what had just happened.

The bash to the head had certainly taken its toll because I'd completely forgotten what day it was. Instead of going to the product launch I was supposed to attend, I somehow assumed that today was a holiday and headed home, content to enjoy an evening of television and listening to the new album by my favourite band, The Dilemma Night Squad.

I was having a huge holiday dilemma. I couldn't decide what to get my oh so wonderful husband for Christmas. I decided to venture out into the snowy night to see what I could find. The night didn't start out very well. Right when I got to the mall, I proceeded to bash my head on the car door as I was reaching in to get my purse. But nothing was going to stand in the way of finding that perfect gift tonight. I wandered around the mall for two hours with no luck, so I decided to drive to another nearby city and try their mall. I got back in my car and was soon on my way. I decided to take the turnpike to save time. I arrived quickly at my exit , when I realized I didn't have money to pay the toll. I had only brought credit cards along. I decided to blow right past the toll booth hoping I wouldn't get caught. Another motorist gave me the finger as I passed him. The next thing I knew I spotted a squad car in my rearview mirror. "I am so busted" I thought to myself. That would be a great gift for my husband, a bill from an attorney. But luckily the cop went on past. I drove with extreme caution to the mall. I went to the hobby store and bought my husband a model rocket and everything he would need to launch it. I then left the mall, praying that I would make it home without any more mishaps. I would put an anonymous donation in the mail tomorrow to the state to pay for the toll I had skipped out on to appease my nagging conscience. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
