It looks so nice and neat and pretty. Then by day 3+ it looks like it's been used as a punching bag.
My tree will not stay nice for nothing! I guess it's because I have 2 preschoolers and a cat living here...
Looks like I get to take off all the ornaments, fix all the branches again, figure out a way to fix it's lopsided appearance, then redecorate it.
Oh, what fun...

As long as I don't have to fix the lights, I'm fine with it...those take me so long.
We have been known to have the tree decorated nicely down to a certain point...where the littlest children can reach...then it's either empty or very sparce...whith ornaments that won't break and they can rearrange them whenever they want.

We put ours up the first weekend of December. So far, it stays nice looking through Christmas.. we keep it watered daily.. and our cat doesn't bother it. But... this year I have a 3 month old son.. by next year he will be all over the tree.. so it should be interesting! Happy Holidays!

I had a cat once that tried to climb up the middle of my tree, and when i came home the whole tree was knocked over, and a lot of the ornaments were broken. I can relate to what you're saying....Good luck to you :-)
