He could be pretty gassy too... make an appt with the pediatrician and let them figure it out. GOOD LUCK!

I heard with acid reflux there's a bunch of spit up... like more than normal.

Twenty years ago nobody ever heard of ACID REFLUX. Are you giving him enough to eat ? He may still be hungry. Are you giving him enough attention? Newborns need to SLEEP, EAT and get plenty of ATTENTION ( holding, cuddling, touching, comforting ) . Baby's cry a lot when they are cold too. Remember, he's spent the last 9 months in a 98 degree hot tub. Not everything has a medical answer.

This is very common. It is often not "caused" by anything, and don't be too quick to jump to the conclusion that he has acid reflux or a milk allergy. It's not likely. Go to the drug store and buy him something called "GRIPE WATER". That will do the trick.

It could be alot of things like colicky babies cry alot which in short means very gassy babies. My younger daughter was and I changed her formula to lactose free and it made a world of difference.

Just to make sure, I would take him in to the doctors. If you can't get an appointment soon enough, you can take him to the ER.

signs are crying after eating, projectile vomiting most or all of what he just ate, fussy at bedtime and while laying down.

well, he probably has gas or he wants his mommy. either one, hes a baby, hes gonna cry.
