Man or woman who said they thought about it, "I meant crying in general, not over burnt toast."
An open mind you may need.

Sometimes I consider not crying as a weakness. There are times when crying is needed. The way someone cries says a lot too. Is it a quick sob or a crying, screaming, bawling fit? The later is a sign of weakness and immaturity no matter the time used.

Interesting question. I don't see crying as a weakness in other people. However, if I personally need to cry I make every effort to do it in private because I don't like people seeing the vulnerable side in me. (Being pregnant has made it hard for me to always control that though!) So I guess I hold myself to a different standard than I do others, so my answer to this question is "Yes and no."

Okay thought about it..... Yes i do, can you imagine someone who starts to cry about everything (when it rains, or seeing the lawn with patches of dead grass, or eating burnt toast?) crying means that you can't handle the stress and it relieves you of the stress that you have accumulated. IF you cry all the time it means you dont adapt well which means that your mentally weak. Its okay to cry every so often. BUT NOT EVERY DAY!!!!

In many cases yes, in most cases no.

Way back in High School there were a couple girls that cried over anything...from making a B to not having what they wanted for lunch. Thats a weakness. There are guys like this I suppose too.

But I would have to say in at least 95% of the cases, no its not a weakness.

Crying is the result of a human emotion and is no more a weakness than laughter, singing, speaking or any of the other noises people make.

Crying is increased lacrimation due to strong emotional stress, depression or physical pain. This practice is not restricted to negative emotions; many people have been known to cry when extremely happy or when they are laughing. (wikipedia)
So..this has nothing to do with weakness.

I know I don't let myself cry too much because I do see it as weakness. I see it as letting something get the best of you and now youve given up. Because really crying is way of showing that you are controlled by emotions. You are in control and can control it. You shouldn't let it control you.

No. If you try to not cry I think you are weak because you care about what people think. It releases stress. For people who say YES, you probably have emotional issues anyway. It is normal to cry.

in dont think so. crying is like showing your emotions and how you really feel and it takes lotsa courage so why would it be weak? if you cry it mean youre brave enough to show how you really feel (is some situation) but lets say you just had a needle shot and you cry thats different story

No. Weak people are too worried about what others think of them to cry.
