The SIA(Security Industry Authority)controls licences for all types of security personnel.
They have a website, or most security companies will put you through the training if they offer you a position with them.

You might consider being a guard in Ireland like a real guard known as Guardai, and be a police officer. In Ireland the Guardai is recruiting and it's better paid and a lot more safe and more job satisfaction.
The English don't deserve you certainly at the pittance paid to security guards in UK. Goto Ireland, have a Guiness, join the Guardai. Me merry, settle down, find true love, have kids, live a happy life. If you're ever in a bad mood and think life counld not be worse, go back to UK for a day trip. It is worse, a lot worse, a hell of a lot worse !
Ireland forever !
