personally, I love the Aladdin movie. I think that there is really one key to making this grown up. Don't buy cheap costumes. If you look for REAL belly dancing costumes, you will look very chic. The cheapy ones look childish. Also, look up pictures of Morraco or Morracan themed parties. Those pictures will give you some great inspiration.

You can never grow to old for Aladdin! You'd wanna make sure to watch the movie, have plenty of Arabian music for dancing [and belly dancing] you could do henna, or another kind of body paint, in pastel and jewels, and get really creative with it. The only game with "jewels" I can think of is, Mancala? Lol. So you could like play mancala on "a magic carpet". You could also do very girly things with this party. Since Jasmine is very femenine. The costumes are soo important, very sheer and sparkly and colorful! Have fun with it and good luck!

This is not childish, I love it! I'm pretty sure I'm having a barbie themed party for my 20th in March, so Aladin is like hard-core compared to that! LOL. You should get like a Jasmine costume but not a kids one, like an aduld one. Like a belly shirt, and a lot of accesories. And don't have like all the stuff you buy at the store with Aladin on it (paper plates, cups, etc.) be creative and have like a ton of diff breads from Panara that people can eat (since that's what Aladin eats in the movie) and make them use thier hands. Just stuff like that will make your party more fun and original.

Skanky dress up. Hike up the shirt, rip up the pants and you're fine. Nahh just kidding.
Say it's a "modern day Aladdin". Aladding with your own sense of style? There's not much you can do to not make it childish. I love Aladdin though (:

Nothing weird about it! There are plenty of adults with similar fantasies (without them (the adults or the fantasies), most cartoons wouldn't exist!). The "trick" is to invite only genuine friends who understand you (they might not agree with you, but, if they truly like you, they'll think it's a neat and fun idea). I doubt that any guy your age would appreciate it, so you'll probably be stuck with a girls-only party . . . sorry! ;)
