Girl: It depends on the relationship that they have and the trust that they confine in each other. When a man gives a woman something, they shouldn't expect anything really. The happiness of the girl should be enough, but if you wish to GIVE a gift back. Apperciation and dedication. Something that the other would treasure and given with that much love. No matter the value. The thought.

I don't think there is any "rule" or guide line to this... I mean, everyone is different, and some people are just not gift givers, but they will do things for the person they care for and love.
For example, last Christmas I can't even think off hand how many gifts I gave my man... but he gave me one gift, but it meant a lot to me, because it showed that he did listen to me, when I was talking about things I'd like to have, but wouldn't buy for myself... that meant more to me that anything else
Women are naturally more giving, especially in the gift department.

1, (that is true and sincere and not just based on how much it cost); recognition and some "sugar," or show of affection. After all, if you're with a guy just for the material gifts that he can provide, maybe you, or he, should move on because it's not love or fondness for one another that truly keeps you together, it's just hype and commercialism (the way of the world).
