As an 8 year old kid, I saw jaws when it opened in the theaters, I thought it was the scariest freaking movie I have ever seen! But then I had just spent the day at the beach swimming ect. And nobody threw up.

when the movie jaws first it caused a complete panic to the public and people refused to get into any form of water including going to the beach. It also caused thousands of sharks to be slaughtered by local fishermen because people were so scared of the movie. The movie jaws was that good.

Those were more innocent times and we didn't have all the gory movies like there are today and I DO remember people throwing up when I saw Jaws AND The Exorcist.

True Story...
I was 12 when that movie came out...and me and my wussie friend took the bus to the dome theater, and snuck in...
After the first scene...which I found riveting, but highly manageable, and admired the special effects, having enough of a movie-making knowledge to know it was all "make-believe..." I turned to see if my friend was enjoying it as much as me...
But his seat was empty...he had run into the bathroom to hurl out his popcorn and flatly carbonated coca cola...(as I stated...he was a wussie...)
Lol...

Jaws was the first movie that I got to go see "on my own" with my little friends. I don't remember anyone throwing up but it was the scariest move EVER. â¥

The person could've been sick. But although the movie is thought of as fake now, back when it came out, it was top of the line, and could've been very realistic to someone. And if that someone saw that, then they could very easily gotten sick from that.
