If its to family or my gf I put 'love', others that I send cards to either 'love' or 'from' depending on how close we are.

Depends on who's getting them.

For family I write love and for friends is use luv. I don't give xmas cards to colleagues. I would never use best wishes.

Well, if you are writing to your manager, put best wishes or from, if you are writing to say, a friend, then put love from or best wishes and the same for a girlfriend or boyfriend.

I'd probably write "from" or "best wishes" to my manager. But if it's friends and family i usually put "luv" because it's more inpersonal. So yeh, it usually depends on who the card is for and how well you know them....:D

Depends who the card is for.
Family/Best Friends: "Love"
Co-workers, Managers, Aquaintances: "Best Wishes" or "Happy Holidays"
"Luv" is totally tacky.. don't use that one

I gave up sending Christmas cards when the price of a book of stamps exceeded the cost of a box of cards. I think that's why the ecard biz is thriving so well. On an unrelated note, my son, who is hospitalized, wanted me to pick him up one of those cheap cd players, I bought him the player, then found that the batteries needed cost MORE than the player !
