The Present Moment is so subtle that you must surrender everything to experience It totally! It "IS" always NOW, no matter what we "think".. Peace and Blessings....Yes Yes Yes

There are many philosophies whose main point is to be present in the moment. Buddhism, Hinduism and others all teach that it is important to be present in the moment...not thinking about what happened yesterday or contemplating the future. Full awareness, so I'm told, can only be found in the moment. To answer you're question, no, I don't always say yes to the present moment. Too often, I'm worrying about things that happened in the past or planning things for the future and miss the opportunity to say yes to the present moment. That's something that I'm continuing to work on.

I want to say yes but sadly I am unable to do that very often. It's hard for me to accept things even if I already know what's going to happen before it actually occurs. I guess lying to myself for a while doesnt feel as bad as coming to terms with the truth. If I dont like something the only time I will end up accepting it is when there's no other solution. It's not a very good way to go but the way we handle things all depends on the person.

Hi Rena,
Yes to making the most of the present moment. If the moment offers something negative or risky then there's a good chance I will say no!

Yes. In fact, I am totally committed to it, being the
spontaneous Sag that I am. You can either plan to jump
into the river with a rope, swim upstream, wait in hiding
until a trout swims by, lasso it and swim back to shore....
or just wait downstream, sipping a beer, and as you happen to see it swimming by, scoop it up with a net. The trick
is to always be aware of what's happening around you at
the moment. What's in the sky, what's in the air. What's
blooming, who's at the bird feeder, what music's on.
Then just continue this awareness until it's interrupted...
then deal with that then. The day will be sweeter.

yes because you have to make the most of life since you never will have one moment happen twice or you do not know what else can occur that can change your perspective. i say yes to many things from surprises to paintballing to challenges in school because if i do not say yes and never attempt them then i will never know how it feels to do half of the things that i would of turned down. i guess that having a positive look on life can also influence you as well but taking a risk or a chance or just attempting something new will be memorable as i see it.

I had to learn how to be in the now, like most others I was taught from birth to either be obsessed with the past or the future, always allowing my past to define me or my fear of the future to overwhelm me. I'm not 100%, but I am vastly improved. At least now I make decisions on what is happening now & not what I think has always been or what I think I would like in the future. Now is actually much easier.
