I think its a horrible tragedy! I don't understand why people do the things they do...it just shows how much evil/stupidity is in this world. His friends and family are in my prayers.

There was another attempted break-in 7 days prior to this. What I can't understand was why he didn't have some security, especially with a very small Child in the house. Thank GOD she is OK and still has one parent left. Very sad and unfortunate. And the murderer never got away with a dime. Maybe it wasn't a robbery after all....hmm.
PS it does have a Tupac-esque quality about it, as well as an Anna Nicole Smith one.

I don't know, but I was listening to an investigator on the radio this morning. And because he was shot in the groin that is a red flag that a woman did it (his fiancee). Also against her if it was a random act of violence they would not leave any witness's. She was just hiding under the covers. Plus all of the evidence is coming from her mouth. The whole thing just sounds shady for his fiancee.

Terrible tragedy.... To be honest, I dont think the shooter meant to kill him. When you want to kill someone, you usually aim for the upper torso or head area. I've never heard of someone being shot in the femoral artery on purpose... But the point still remains that he's gone so a wife lost her husband, a child lost her father, a mother and father lost a son and so on... Its very, very sad. My prayers are with his family. Very untimely and tragic.

Attempted robbery? It could be any number of things. It's pure speculation but i would imagine they weren't trying to kill him because he was shot in the leg right? Really sad story :\

it is yet another sad day for football. personally it sounds personal, like someone didn't want him playin. most ppl don't shoot for the leg with intentions of killing a person. and what is something a player can do with a gunshot to the leg on the field....

i really think it was some one he knew according to the news reports they where saying that some thing happen 8 days before he was shot i'm very sorry this happen 2 him and the family is in my prayers

Are you sure it was 1st degree murder? Or did it happen in the commission of a seperate crime? Can't really say that someone WANTED to kill him. I mean it sucks that he died...but until we know more, can't say that he was purposely murdered.
