In 2004 i almost died of a lung disease from my job. I was a sandblaster for 11 years and it destroyed my left lung and a quarter of my right. I have been in a workman's compeneation suit for 3 years with no end in sight. I have filed for disability but was turned down "I was told i would be turned down the first time". I have filed an appeal, who knows when this will happen. I have went back to school to receive a degree in buissness. We are barely surviving as a family but we are strong. I have twin 15 year old daughters and a 13 year old son who are very supportive. They understand the situation and pretend that going without does't bother them. They are all 4.0 students and i am very proud of them. I would really like to surprise them with a nice Christmas and that is where i ask for help. They don't expect to receive a whole lot if anything for Christmas, they say dad its not your fault we understand. can anyone help by donating gifts for my kids. God Bless You.

Well, I hate to say this..but it's hard for me to believe someone over the internet without proof. BUT, there are lots of places you can go to get assistance this time of year. There are churches that will help with the bills and food, things like that. If you're sincere and this is all true, then I am very sorry for your situation.. I would love to help if I could, but I'm a stay at home mom, and it's tight for us as well. I do wish your family a Merry Christmas, though.
God Bless!

Call your local Christian radio station. They have a program you can join where your family is put up for adoption. Someone calls and adopts your family to bring gifts to. My station has already helped over 1000 families so far. Call and tell them your situation, I really think this would be something that could help you out. You sound like a wonderful father that has raised great kids. May God bless you and your family this Christmas and always. Take care.

Contact your local churches, fraternal organizations, fire/police department and human services organizations. If they are not currently running a program for Christmas assistance they should be able to tell you who in your area is.

Hopefully you plea will not be too late. Many organizations have lists and some are closed now because of the limited amounts available to help those in need so you need to get on the lists as early as possible. I wish you and your family well and hope you can get the assistance you need.

If this is truly your situation, you should contact your local Trustee's office. They accept families that need help to have a good Christmas, and then local businesses "adopt" those families and provide gifts.

I'm sure there are other local organizations that do this as well. If you don't know of any, try calling the Dept. of Family and Children's Services for more info.

So, you are not disabled and you are well enough to attend school. I am sorry to say that I find it dfficult to believe that you went to uni, university educated people just do not write sentences like "I have went back to school to receive a degree in business". And the amount of very similar stories to your own that are appearing daily makes it look just like a scam. If you really want to give your kids presents then make something for them. Or get a part-time job - if you are well enough to study there must be some work you can do.

Call social services and ask if they have an Angel Tree program that you can partipate in. My local news station also does an Angel Tree. If you see one in a store (check WalMart) ask at customer service who is sponsoring it and give them a call and see if you can get your kids on.

Call some local churchs. A lot of them do a special outreaches at Christmas.

Check with your local food bank. They might also be able to point you in the right direction.

Good luck

My heart goes out to you, but this isn't the correct place for begging. You're only going to get rotten answers from people. My advice to you is to contact your local handouts shelter or toys for tots.. there are many organizations handing out food and gifts to needy families.. I just donated to the Raley's/Nob Hill food bag program yesterday. Or you can contact WIC (Women, Infants and Children) and see if you qualify. Best wishes for a Happy Holiday season.
