That stupid song is now playing on the radio, and it never fails to irritate me.

*singing off-key* Isn't it moronic, don't ya think?

Mrs. 10/1--The liquor store running out of whiskey is the exact opposite of what The Nolte would want, but this is hardly an example of irony.

Jack, my hunk of burnin' love--As you well know, The Nolte possesses many talents, but singing ain't one of them. Last thing I'd want to do is turn you off ;)

We actually studied this this year in school. None of the things on that song are examples of irony. Irony is when something happens that you don't expect. That song is just about life sucking.

You're right, it is a bit moronic. Actually, if you belief in luck, it is supposed to be good luck for it to rain on your wedding day. Seeing as I have been to a few and those marriages didn't last I would say it is just a load of bs. ;-)

I hate that song...and the moron singing it...but rain on a wedding day means your marriage won't be sunny and happy I guess.

it's ironic because it's the exact opposite of what you want to happen.

... and it doesn't even rhyme. I'd like to take Alanis to the theater though.

Maybe "ironic" means something different in Canadian....
