i am a white female that has been raised by black people all my life! i am from georgia and have went to nothing but black schools and have black friends! i LOVE them all! But people tend to not understand that i've picked uip there slang. i have lived with them all my life. i've never had a white friend. by no means am i a wigger but people who dont know me tend to think i try to act black... if only they knew this is the real me! My question is... "is something wrong with me? its really not my fault the way i have been raised!"

There is nothing wrong with you. Language is something that is learned. Since you surround yourself with African Americans you have learned the language of that culture. Just as if you would move to London or Australia for a long period of time you would pick up the accent.

On the other hand sexuality is not something that is learned and you can't learn to be gay by being around other gay people (if you're trying to trick people into saying that. I don't know whether that's why you put it in this section or if you're just gay and feel more comfortable asking other GLBT's) Sexuality is instinctual.

It is not your fault at all. Of course you have picked up superficial elements of the culture in which you were raised despite the racial difference. If an African America child were raised in a white family and sent to predominantly white schools that child would sound as white as Barak Obama!

People think of terms to categorize people who are different. Wigger is wrong. People who do not accept you are people you shouldn't validate by defending your position. You are who you are and you should be proud of it. In some cases ignorance does not deserve a response. Nothing is wrong with you!
