I would say, "Taxes were a temporary solution to a needed deficit. Temporary has become a long long time now. The collected taxes, or attempts to collect have been misused from the beginning. Why not change the tax code to a 13.5 % national sales tax? 8.5% to the feds, 4.25% to the state of residence and .75% to the city of residence, or county seat for the rural denizens. Everyone would pay a proportionate share based on expenditures. No tax breaks or complicated code, no IRS which costs billions and no getting around the law merely because one is wealthy enough to hire tax attorneys." How about it?

i would make them pay triple what everyone else pays and ask how they like that!! Whomever invented taxes is probably wealthy and taxes probably do not even affect them. I would somehow try to put them into a situation in which paying taxes would affect them and their families.
