This is really embarassing for me to talk about, so I would only like answers from women only. Please do not respond if you are a man. Thanks. I am 34 years old and I love and am attracted to my husband. We have been married for 4 years, and while we have had our ups and downs, we do not have any major issues right now, so I do not understand why I do not have any sexual desire! It is very frustrating for both of us, and we are able to talk about it. I have not always been this way, so I am really concerned. Has anyone else ever had this happen? What did you do about it? I could really use some constructive advice!

Also, how can I reassure my husband that I am still attracted to him while I figure out what is going on? He is a very kind and patient man, but I know this bothers him, understandably!

are you getting enough rest, are you eating right, are you stressed. What type of medications or herbal supplements are you taking. Are you taking a hormonal birth control? If you are--and you are taking the same dosage you've always taken, you may need to have the dosage adjusted (hormone levels at 18 are different than at 34).

If you've ruled out everything else, then I agree with the sexy movies ploy--also hit the book store and look at the different books that are available for spicing up your sex life. Lou Paget and Barbara Keesling are good authors to start with.

edit: re: the add on
Make yourself start thinking sexy thoughts. Also, give him kisses and hugs, shoulder rubs. Even if you don't feel it go on and have sex anyway, sometimes feeling follows action rather than the other way around.

Good Luck.

This is very common for women to lose their sexual desires. You can either go to the doctor or use some herbs to increase your libido. This happens to both men and women.

I did have that happen for a while after I had my son, and I was 18. You have to eat healthy and take vitamins. Mine was caused by an imbalance. I suggest prenatal vitamins and giving it a good month or two to start getting better.
