depending on type of car, check under the hood in the engine area, under the tire rims, under the body of the car, look in the glovebox, check behind your license plate, everrywhere you think one wouldn't fit, it is probably in those areas.
You can also take him to court for violating your privcay. You are not in his control anymore and he should remove it NOW or you will contact a lawyer.

Does he pay for your cell phone?
Some cell companies have a "Family locator" service that works off the GPS chip in the phone.
Also trip navigators like Garmin might be able to store and share your location.
Chances are he's just messing with your mind. Find out. Drive to a deserted cemetery at midnight. Park you car and leave it in a church parking lot for a week. If he asks why, then you know he really is tracking you.
Good luck.

Did he co-sign the note?
Here is my take, if he co-signed the note, he should be able to confiscate the vehicle if you go deliquent on payments, insurance or maintenance. Because co-signing directly effects his credit score.
Take out a loan in your own name, and pay off the original without your dad as co-signer. Ask him to remove "his" property from your vehicle at that point.
Also, he maybe just jacking with you.

well, in this day and age I wish my dad would do the same for me... I don't think that he is trying to be noisy but looking out for your safety... He hasn't said I know you went here last night has he?
But places it might be are under your bumpers, decal, under your seats.. trunk, spoiler, antena, new cool gadgets.. glove box or places that you don't use..

Are you sure he's serious? Maybe you should take it to a mechanic and have them get it out.. Or just get a new car and move out.
