Runaways
Brian Vaughan
Volume 1 - Pride and Joy
Volume 2 - Teenage Wasteland
Volume 3 - Good Die Young
Volume 4 - True Believers
Volume 5 - Escape to New York

This series is unique in that it is a super-hero comic that is not about the super-heroes, nor is it about the super-villains. This series is about six teenagers and what they do after they find out their parents are super-villains.

What would you do if you found out that what you thought was a once a year get together with old friends, turns out to be an excuse to go in the basement in order to sacrifice an innocent girl in an evil ritual? In Runaways, six teens are in that very predicament. They find a secret passageway in the house and following it down to the basement, are just in time to witness their parents kill an innocent girl.

Soon after, the teens learn that they aren’t ordinary teens at all, but each has different special powers in one way or another, just like their parents. There is a boy with a brilliant mind, a mutant, an alien, a teen with a psychic link to a velociraptor, a teen whose parents created hands that shoot fire, and a teen whose magical parents have bestowed her with a magical staff. All this becomes too overwhelming for them, and they decide to go into hiding.

If you like vampire and or paranormal type things I highly suggest the Necroscope series by Brian Lumley.

The Bourne series appears to be good, much different from the movies.

The Dragonriders series by Anne McCaffery is also pretty good as well.

Hope these help.

ok my favorite series is the antia blake vampire hunter series by laurel k hamilton. but i'll be honest with you after the first six or seven books you do have to start dealing with antia's increasingly dramatic and extensive love life... i believe there are about 17 books in the series right now though so it would keep you busy and most of them i couldn't put down. i also enjoy the legend of drizzt series by r a salvatore. about 13 books in that one

Depends on what you like, however I have a few that I love.

The Hollows series by Kim Harrison (butt kicking witch deals with demons, vampires, and other spooky stuff)
Fingerprints by Melinda Metz (girl can read thoughts of people through their fingerprints)
Countdown by Daniel Parker (the apocalypse and there's only teenagers in the world!)
The Mediator series by Meg Cabot (girl talks to ghosts, choas and hilariousness ensue)
Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer (spooky vampiric romance)
anything by Amelia Atwater Rhodes, it's not technically a series, but they all link together.

If none of these appeal to you, go to your local library and poke around to see if you find a series you like. Good luck and happy reading!
