Debi we have the same thoughts on this one. I took piano lessons for two years when I lived with my Grandparents but when I went to live with my parents at 13 Mom wouldn't let me continue. My older sister was taking lessons and Mom said she was better. So, except for knowing the notes, I can no longer play. I also try really hard to be organized and am so much better than when I was working and younger, but I still constantly work on it.

I'd also really love to be able to play the piano and I wish I had a good singing voice...but I can't carry a tune in a bucket! But I guess we just have to make the best out of the skills and talents God gave us!

I wish I had a good singing voice. Most of my friends play instruments and although I'm trying to learn the guitar, they've been playing for decades. If I had a decent voice, at least I'd feel like I could contribute when we all get together (my husband is a musician). I just won't inflict my singing on anyone unless it's to sing "Happy Birthday".

I would love to be able to play the piano. We bought our grandaughter a keyboard with what seems like hundreds of different insruments and various pre- recorded tunes with the option of recording your own music . I enjoy playing on it and in my head I feel as though I could just sit down and play, but I can only pick out tunes by ear, I would love to play boogie-woogie!

There are several things. One is to be an opera singer. I just
love a good opera and to sing like that is a real gift. Another
is to play the piano well. Another is to be a ballet dancer.
Another is to be an archaelogist and make a good discovery.

I took piano as a child and wish I had kept it up. Back then it was mom saying practice, practice, practice and it ceased to be fun. Gave up on organizing things, just have less stuff to worry about these days.

I'm with you. I have long fingers and everybody told me I needed to take piano but, unfortunately I was a basketball player and that ruled over the piano and I wished it hadn't!
