I want to hang christmas lights in my apartment this year. I was raised not celebrating, so this will be the first time decortating for the holiday.
Here's my question: what do I use to hang the lights? I live in an apartment, so I don't want to damage the walls, so what can I use?
Thanks :)

Pritt pads are good. There are specific plastic hooks available from most DIY stores, they're self adhesive and don't mark or damage paint.

You can drape Christ light over curtain rods and I have even been know to use a large safety pin around the wire to hold it to the curtain. You can use suction cup on glass to hold up lights strings or the pre-made shapes.
Most Dollar Stores seem to carry the wreath hooks that allow you to hang something over a door - if it is a door that yo will be opening and shutting then be careful of the wires.

Awe, good for you! The lights in the package will usually have some plastic staple looking things that will easily be used to assemble them. Hang them in places that have an easy way to hook them on (door moldings, windows etc)

My choice of tool for hanging Christmas lights in an apartment is a staple gun ; ) I'm not sure that's recommended though.

for some reason I can't see you as disgruntled. lol
I've stapled and used thumb tacks, both work well, as do tiny nails the strand can rest on.

have a ficus tree? you could run a strand of lights in it.. that's always pretty. have fun!

You can use thumbtacks. They make small holes and hold up pretty well.
