Make sure the scanner is turned on open your photo editing program Photoshop / Photoimpact or whatever go to file and acquire the scanner will take time to warm up then Preview if you are satisfied with what you see then scan.

Hold up against the screen, must be a flat screen, top right hand corner is best and make sure the picture side is away from you.
You then have to press and hold down the left Alt button whilst striking the print screen button.
You of course must have three hands or help to do this.

Because there are many different programs for scanners this will have to be a fairly general answer.

Install scanner software. (read instructions, most scanners want software installed first)

connect scanner.

Open scanner software and allow scanner to warm up.

place picture on scanner.

choose "scan to file"

choose file type under which you wish to save picture.

choose location to which you wish to save picture.

click scan or save, which ever is correct for your system.

Depending on exactly what photos you want done .. it is also possible to take a picture with your photo capable cell phone and picture message it to your email address and there you will have it on your computer once you copy it to your hard drive from the email you sent yourself.

You can either scan them with a scanner, or if you have a digital camera you can download them directly off your digital camera onto your PC.

connect your scanner /MFD to your computer (most probably USB port)

install scanner s/w from CD which comes with scanner

put photo in scanner bed

press scan button
