Hello,
I am coming to Edmonton in couple of weeks, this is my second time there. The first time I had to pay a taxi a fortune to get me into the city.
Can anyone tell me if there is a less expensive way of getting from the airport to the city?

Is there public transportation from the Edmonton International Airport to West Edmonton Mall or Downtown?

The Sky Shuttle provides frequent service to the Downtown, West End and the University areas. Special services can be arranged for sightseeing and for the disabled on a pre-booked basis. Information on the Sky Shuttle can be found by phoning 1-888-438-2342 or (780) 465-8515 or on the website: www.edmontonairports.com.

Transportation To Edmonton Airport

When I lived there they had a bus that went to all the downtown hotels run by Grey Goose bus lines, check out there situation. (I found out they are no longer in business in AB)

Your right unless you have someone picking you up or can share a cab, that is a long ride on your own, it is like here in Toronto, we have the Airport shuttles from the downtown hotels, but there is a cheaper way but involves 2 bus transfers via the TTC but would only cost $5.50, most people would not do it.

Apparantly they have several hotel shuttles but only to south end hotels, the link is the page for Sky Shuttle and there is a further link to there website on that page, Unless you stay at the Holiday Inn coming into Edmonton, you could call them say your staying there, and when they let you out say you made a mistake and it was the downtown one on 109th St then they woudl most likely take you there if it is not to cold or busy, give it a thought.

Sky Shuttle runs frequently, as the first pewrson answered. There's a slight discount for r/t tickets; you can but from the driver. There are weveral different shuttle routes: downtown, University, etc. Each have set stops, or you can call for individual pickups in between stops.

I walked it once. That was the cheapest, but it's not for everyone. Long walk.

Sky shuttle. And remember to buy a round-trip shuttle ticket, which is cheaper. :D

You can easily find the shuttle stop in the airport (first floor), and get time table there.

Have a nice trip!
