Do you already have chronic knee pain? The stomping will certainly put some stress on your knees, but the key is to stretch first and warm up the knees. A friend of mine with a knee injury uses a heating pack for about 5 mins before she starts to exercise.

It also depends on how active you are in general. If you're a couch potato, then take it slow at first. If you're active, then you probably already have leg muscles that will help to protect your knees. Either way, only do what you feel is safe and healthy. It sounds corny, but listen to your body - it will till you when you've had enough.

If you need to, take an anti-inflammatory afterwards or do the hot/cold pack rotation on your knees to keep the circulation going. There's nothing like feeling awful the next day to make you want to stop doing something :\ This is a great preventative measure. :)

Depends. If you're doing the faster, more move-intensive songs and difficulty levels, you could suffer some knee pain. My mom played it once on the beginner level and used a cane to make some of the steps, lol. Still, she enjoyed it. For me, it tends to cause cramping, so be sure to eat some potassium before and after.
