I agree (if your serious that is)

also the cool music, pop culture etc we have produced now and in the past, and the fact that you are free to live and work in most of the rest of Europe as a British citizen, because of the EU (that doesnt sound very good cos its basically saying that one of the best thing is how easy it is to get out of here, but you know what i mean lol)

edit: if your saying SOME english are racist, thats fair enough ,SOME are, just like SOME of every nation in the world are.

but in some of your previous q's you seemed to be implying that scottish, welsh and n.irish were somehow less racist overall than the english, or where somehow victims of racism as well, which just blatantly isn't true.

personally I think the British as a whole (including the english) are the second most tolerant, liberal and accepting country in europe, behind perhaps the Dutch.

I've only been away a few days and you changed from you to me. What's happening?
The greatest thing about Britain in my opinion is its diversity. Not only in its constituent peoples but In many of the challenges to my senses. I've just spent some time amid the rugged beauty of the Welsh mountains...and the challenge doesn't come much better. Believe me it does help to put the challenges that YOU feel you faCe everyday into some kind of context. I recommend that you try sometime!

We lived there from 1986 to 1990, and loved it. The beer, the people, the beer. The country side is beautiful. We were able to visit Wales, Scotland and of course Ireland. We found the Irish to be the most friendly and the women the prettiest of all the the people there. ( yes I know the Irish aren't British).

How nice to see, Natty, that finally you are making some positive comments about our country.

I agree with you, for once, that the best thing about Britain is the tolerance and understanding of the British people.
