surely, a 10 gallon is tank is too small on your goldfish. Goldfish are huge waste manufacturers, and they change into very large, so that you'll favor a minimum of a 20 gallon with an significant filter out. you also favor to benefit the nitrogen cycle. Ammonia is produced even as a fish urinates, breathes and defecates, and it truly is then damaged right down to nitrite by positive bacteria. (positive bacteria frequently stay on the filter out media, and a touch contained in the gravel.) The nitrite is then damaged down into nitrate. Any quantity of ammonia and nitrites are poisonous to fish, (it truly is measured in ppm - parts in line with million, so that you will be wanting 0ppm ammonia and nitrite) and really a lot of nitrate are risky to fish. (40ppm+) yet, you should ensure positive bacteria earlier the nitrogen cycle can ensue. So, you'll favor to run your tank for round a month or so w/o fish -- till there aren't any ammonia or nitrites. you are able to try for them with a liquid try equipment. then you ought to do weekly 25% water variations, otherwise the positive bacteria could have too a lot of a job to do, and finally, ammonia and nitrites gained't get switched over. anyhow, I recommend you provide your goldfish away, because i'm confident you aren't any further going opt for to purchase an total new, larger aquarium. once your 10 gallon is cycled, you are able to then purchase some white cloud minnows or something of the varieties, because they're truly the purely small fish that do not want a heater. Do extra study, regardless of the reality that. you're truly in a respectable subject on the instantaneous. solid success!

None. Goldfish produce high ammonia levels, which is toxic to other fish. They should also be kept at a constant cool temperature, while tropical fish need high temps.
How big is your aquarium? The rule for how many fish you can have is 1" of fish (at their full grown size) per 1 gallon of water. That means that if you have fancy goldfish, you should have at least a 15 gal. aquarium to accommodate their full-grown size of 7" each. Common goldfish require huge tanks as they grow to be 2-3'. If the proper sized aquarium is not provided, your fish will not live very long. BTW, if given the proper living conditions and care, goldfish can live for 20+ years.

It depends on what kind of golden fish they are. There are rams, gouramis, platies, guppies, and many others that are golden. Also angelfish and oh, yeah, goldfish.
Any but goldfish, about any other tropicals, Goldfish need to be kept in a LARGE tank with other goldfish.

firstly GOLD fish need at least 10 gallons of water per fish...
they are COLD WATER fish and should only be kept with other cold water fish.
other goldfish and white cloud minnows do well togehther...
Tetras, bettas, barbs ect are all TROPICAL fish and need a heater they are NOT compatible with Goldfish
salt water fish are NOT compatible with gold fish...
pretty much the only thing you can put in with gold fish are koi (which need at least 20 gallons per fish as babies) and other gold fish (which needs 10gallons per fish at least)
how many gallons is a "small tank" its very likley its too small even for your baby goldfish!

totally agree with Aquella ,
Gold fish can only live with it's own family ( Carp )
and difficultly live with any other fish ( with much Caution needed !! )
u can make a Mixture of Gold fish diff species
for example :
Black moor , calico , fantail , buble eye ( with caution if any sharp objects in tank ) and so on ....
GooD Luck =)
