I prefer them to tissues as they're softer but I know some people don't like them. Is it odd for a youngish (33) guy to use one? Does anyone else prefer them?

I also prefer them. I agree they are much softer than tissues but also they are better for the enviroment.
I'm 33 too!
More men should use them and protect trees!

Good question! I'm 58 my grandmother would always ask what she could get us boys for Christmas, as she insisted on something even with her very modest railroad pension she got from my grandfather who passed away. I would always say handkerchiefs. God rest her soul, I now purchase them my self, and have always carried them. You don't see many carry them today ,they would rather do the old farmers way, which by the way I was raised on a farm ,but never was the type to just snort. Tissues aren't as reliable when blowing your nose. Yes I perfer them also. Good Question

It's a proper thing to use for snoozing nose or stopping running nose.I feel handkerchief should be sterilized and softer.I do use.

i would advise u to start using tissue paper (way more higyenic)... and keep always handkerchiefs for covering ur nose/mouth when coughing or sneezing only

My husband prefers them also. I make sure they are washed in hot water, and then I iron them and give them a shot of steam from the steam iron.

using a handkerchief after you have used it spreads germs quicker than using a kleenex.

at home i will use hankerchief.i agree tissue is kinda rough for me.
