I once bought someone a two-disc set of A 1940s Christmas and a Glenn Miller Christmas concert. If those were available at the time, more is probably available now.

Many times I heard that from now on, their troubles would be out of sight, but the lyrics on one of those discs were "Come next year..." instead of "From now on." Hearing the different lyrics the first time was interesting.

I also assumed that Elvis was the first artist to record "Blue Christmas," but I eventually heard a version, probably from the '40s, by Ernest Tubb.
