Sorry, but aren't you confusing the name with Massengill douche products?

In my city there is a chiropractor who is named Dr. Bone, a dentist who is named Dr. Filler. There are people whose names are days of the week; Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. There are also people with the names of holidays; Easter and Christmas; some are named Bible. I could go on but my point is: There is nothing about a person's last name that should embarrass them...they had no choice in the matter. Now if you want to find embarrassment go for the goofy first names that people are tagging their babies with and the stupid spelling of those names.

I don't know the reasoning behind your question.
I do not have a problem saying a persons name and this one is well represented on the net...I don't feel personally involved in other peoples names to warrent an ego response.
I had to work that out some time ago..because folk do get involved in other peoples names.
Would that be pronounced massengail,,,,mass angel?
Interesting name HI YA ALL you Massengales'
Have a good day.

Funny. I used to work for a company called that, and, yes, I'd get that remark all the time. But I'd just inform people, "The name is Massengale, not Massengill."

The douche is called Massengill. And people can't help what their last name is, but I always wondered why the owners didn't just find another name for their company.

Probably, but I have a relative from back in the 1800's whose name was Massingale Combs. I have two of them, they were father and son. I think it being a first name could have been worse.

Not the most embarrassing last name around. but you can't pick what your last name is, so it really isn't anything to be ashamed about. besides massengale is a brand name, you are rich!! lol

Well the right thing to do would be to say their last name and snicker every time you talk to them. Also any other jokes involving massengale would be good as well. haha good luck
