I don't know you, but the general answer would be yes.
Yes the opinion of people would change.
They would no longer see a young Muslim girl,
they would see the VEIL.
You would be loosing you personal identity where most non-Muslim people are concerned.
Wear a veil if want people to look at you and think Muslim.
Don't wear a veil if you just want people to accept that you are a young Muslim girl.
Good luck with what ever decision you make.

Shouldn't that be a decision you make yourself? How can anyone else give you your identity back? And besides, identity, religion, principles etc do not come with a uniform. It doesn't make you a better Muslim just because you're wearing a veil. I have some Muslim friends (some more religious than others) and they'd be quite offended by the implications of your question.

ok this is quite a volitile subject in the uk....no offence but i dont agree with veils at all... especially for important photos like ur passport, thats the biggest load of **** ever. how could anybody possibly look at your picture whilst your standing at the check-in desk and decide thats its deffinitely you?...
also i undertsand culture and the rest of it but this is our country and we dont hide behind anything, neither should anybody else.
what really annoys me is when ur stood in a shop and 2 asian/indian/pakistani people are talking in languages that we cant understand, its damn ignorent and it shouldnt be talked in public.
i dont think we should have to talk to anyone we cannot see... which is why some doctors are now refusing to see patients unless they remove their veils, i agree with it entirely and feel quite strongly aout this subject, especially since the terrorist attacks in usa and london.
the attacks are causing a hell of a lot more damage than people think and very soon there will be a huge divide between whites and asians. kids too young are growing up these days and seeing these people killing innocent people...what do you think will happen to those kids? theyre gonna resent the bombers and eventually the whole generation will be divided after many years.
when i was at college we had 2 buses and the asians used to get on and realise there where quite a few whites on the bus.. ill never forget when one of them churped up and said 'oh we'll leave and get on the 'paki bus' cuz were not wanted here'.... not a single person had said or done anything to offend them... the divide has already started

a Veil caanot regain your identity but may help you in avoiding to relate with people whom you donot want to relate and also may possibly give you some time and chance to think about your own activities in the recent past which have forced you to be in the present state of mind....to think about something which you had discarded so far no baody told you to be without a veil till now ....why do you have to ask to wear or not to wear one

If you wear a veil you will get your identity back? So, by not wearing one, you are somehow not yourself and feeling like you are caving in to peer pressure to not wear it? Won't you be caving in to peer pressure if everyone says wear it? I think you should follow your heart and listen to your core beliefs.

Islam requires you to think independently.
Hijab is an Arabic tradition not a Pakistani or Hindi traditional attaire.
Ask your heart what you want to wear.Be what you say in 'urdu' an 'azadi' person and your own person.

What you wear will make you feel like you have an identity?
Your identity comes from within, not what you wear.
Would my opinion of you change? Well, not if I already knew you, but on first impressions, yes it would.
