At my office we throw away a lot of white paper that has been printed on one side. Sometimes we shred it and it gets recycled. Are there any other ways to use this paper instead of shredding it?

Shred anything with confidential or ID information. This can then be used for mulch around plants; hamster bedding, etc.

At school we generate a lot of paper and left overs.

One sided paper is always saved for scratch paper.... some is made into memo pads. We can use boxes of scratch paper during testing weeks. You might look into donating it to schools... I have even ran "new" lessons on the back of used papers it the front print is not too dark.

My grand kids like to color on paper ... they enjoy any paper even that printed on both sides.

Take some by retirement homes... many retires have printers and "new" paper is expensive when you are living on a fixed income.

You can make handmade paper out of it. Mix it with other found paper like colored flyers and crepe paper. How about some fun paper sculptures or plant-able seed favors?

Get candy or soap molds at the craft store, or make your own.

Soak old paper overnight. Crepe paper gives the boldest color. The color of your pulp is darker than what the color of the paper will be. You can soak it longer, but cover it if you have pets because they will drink it, which won't hurt them, but they always get hair in it.

Fill a blender half full with water. Don't use this blender for food! Now add a couple of handfuls of your soaked paper, torn into small pieces. Pulse the blender until you have a thick pea soup. Pour this into a spaghetti strainer, then push it into your mold. If you are using flower seeds, press them into the mold. Let it dry for a few minutes and then pop it out to continue drying.

We play the game Boggle at our house. We use scrap paper from work so we don't have to buy the paper. Find a nursing home or something like that, they may have a use for it. (We use it for home use in the printer, we print out something we want to share with others in the house but it's not important.) Also, there are paper crafts. Try the web site http://www.freepatterns.com and select paper crafts. There are free patterns you can download.

You could contact a paper recycling company. The will often come and collect the waste paper. Sometimes they will pay for it as well.

Always shred and recycle it. The risk of personal or confidential information ending up where it shouldn't is too great.

I always keep my 'mis-prints' and other junk papers in a file cabinet drawer so I can jot down notes on the backside. When I have a lot saved up, I bring some home for my niece or other kids I know to scribble on.

Paper is fun! You can use it making holiday decorating simple.
Store windows show off the season’s finery. Your neighbors have decorated the outside of their homes for the holidays, so you just know the inside is done, too.
Also, you can make garland for the stairway or Christmas tree.

if the printed stuff is of no significance (no numbers or personal info, company plans) you could paste the print side down and use it for a scrapbook
