where does lost mail go?

I have sent packages and they never seem to arrive to the people i send them to. Where could they be? One was recently another atleast a year ago

back to the post office- eventually get auctioned off

You should get a tracking number so you can trace the package to where it goes. If you send stuff overseas the customs office holds packages, and sometimes steals stuff from them.

Use tracking confirmation and let the Post Office investigate.
