There's nothing healthy in dealing with fast foods unless it doesn't have that much fats or carbohydrates. Chinese food may or may not be healthy due to certain chinese restarant contains MSG. I hope this helps you out.

Fast foods are basically not healthy. Here are a couple of options to try:
McDonald's
If you can't resist the burgers and frys, dry downsizing to a Happy Meal. Its better than the full or super size stuff.
Apple Dippers
Salads...request a lowfat dressing and if there is any chicken on it get it grilled, not fryed.
Wendy's
Chili
Baked potato w/chili
Salad Bar, again look for lowfat dressing
Avoid the sodas as they can pack on the calories.
In answer to your question how often? I try not to eat anything fastfood more than 1 time per month.

Don't think in terms of times a week when it comes to eating junk food. It's very unhealthy. I wouldn't want to eat it more than once every month or two.
Chinese food is definitely healthier than fried fast food like chicken, burgers and fries. Ask them to leave out the MSG when you order it.

Okay, so you are right. Fast food is not healthy - and when you're trying to decide what constitutes "fast food" anything that can be ordered and picked up in under 5 minutes. (So yes, Chinese is fast food)
That said, no matter what restaurant you are eating at you need to be aware of what you're putting in your mouth. Even at a really expensive restaurant you could be PACKING on calories, it just depends on what you order. At fast food restaurants, they tend to offer MOSTLY really unhealthy items.
Therefore, no matter where you are look for things that are NOT - fried or battered; AVOID - mayonaise, cream sauces (even creamy salad dressings like ranch), and cheese.
LOOK FOR items that are - grilled or baked; or you can order that creamy sauce you love on the side so you don't eat as much, mustard instead of mayo, or a side salad instead of fries (again, dressing on the side).
Last answer for you, meat vs. chicken - it really depends what restaurant you are eating at. Typically a turkey burger or chicken sandwich will have significantly less calories and fat because it is a leaner meat. But that can vary depending on the restaurant. NOTE... all restaurants are required to have nutritional information available about all items on their menu. when in doubt, ask for this info and they will be able to provide it.
happy eating!

Chinese food is almost as unhealthy as any other fast foods if not even more because of the extra greese and oils that they put on their noodles.
During the week, even once is plenty. Also, chicken is healthier than beef because it has alot less grease.

this is a free country, you can eat anything you want as much as you want.
this is where the trouble starts.........
get the grilled chicken or meat with extra tomato and lettuce, without mayo or extra sauce. portion control is important.
less is better. try skipping the bread, or eat only half.
if you have to have fries, get a small no more than once per week. that will be a treat.
when i eat fast food i feel really bloated like i have swallowed a salt shaker. but i continue to do it. i limit myself to twice a week, which is too much for me. oh well.

I worked there for a year and let me tell you that although it is not the healthiest of foods I lost 30 pounds eating it. I ate happy meals for portion control as well as salads. I actually ordered all burgers without bread the Big Mac is especially good without the bun because it tastes like a salad.
