It's about a near-future Great Britain that has devolved into a fascist state after a terrorist attack. "V" dons the identity of Guy Faulkes, a romantic English hero, to remind all of us that "People shouldn't fear the government, the government should fear the people!" How true, and what a great little movie! I'd recommend it!

The movie is about a kind of anti-hero. The main character, V, performs terrorist actions (murders, blowing up buildings) in order to 1). get back at the people who tortured him and others in one particular detention center, and 2). get the people of his country to stand up against a fascist, totalitarian government.

bangin movie i got it was a misunderstood hero who was only trying to show the world about him and his beliefs you see at the end the fire works were for him and how every pne wore there maks i thought it was a great movie im still a little confused to some of the parts.

Its basically about freedom vs security and that they are inversely proportional.
