If someone is Bipolar (untreated and unmedicated)
If they are just in normal state of Bipolar or a "Manic" state of Bipolar and they were hanging around the wrong kind of people can that make them act 'nastier' to someone they supposedly cared about or loved?

Even though they 'think' the friends/people they are around are healthy and good for them (even though reality they are horrible)....can a person with Bipolar cloud their judgement on that?

Also, is it a symptom of Bipolar....to hear things or see things over a course of a couple years....that they didn't agree with or was against their morals/values and act just the opposite when they go off the deep end or they roleplay it out?? Or could/is that some kind of other disorder?

Personality disfusion disorder. Realize thou that manic/depression isn't a virus, it isn't something that happens to people just sort of random. Pretty much ever case of manic/depression can be led back to CRONIC depression disorders.

Let me paint it like this, lets say I was melested by my dad, he was never really around, beat me constantly when he wasn't having his way. Now I've made it thru that abuse without killing myself or him, and now I'm married to someone I think I can trust. Now when ever I see ANYTHING that resembles my dads behavior I well get insecure and fearful, I well become depressed because in alot of ways I can't trust people compelely. Now lets say I'm tring to work it out with my husban, everythings going fine, but one of my driving forces for getting out of the house was because he use to call me a stupid slut so I descide to go for a doctorates degree to prove to myself how much crap he was full of. Now I hope you can see, how the trails and tribulations of getting a degree would put me in constant conflict with my past experiences. That everytime I do good, I'd be manic, happy, and seeing the world kind of for what it is, call this my manic eposide, then all of a sudden things get real hard I start failing test and start believing maybe my dad is right! DEPRESSION.

So I hope you can see in a certain way the causes of depression are related to a persons history and perception coupled with our drive to achieve, or purpose in life in other words. So that Manic/depression isn't a simple beast, its a complicated monster with many faces and many reasons. That was an over simplification of how this could really work within an individual, it could get extremely complicated.

So realize these terms don't hold the cure, they give you simply a place to look, which for this guy, is his history. Little do people want to belive, but history because it is memory defines us. Take away a persons memory and you change who they are completely......

There are two types of Bipolar Disorder I and II. Type one is much more severe. People with type I typically do see and hear things that others can't (hallucinations). They are also typically suicidal and many have attempted suicide. Type II individuals are typically manic and then depressive. In manic states both types will do something crazy like spend a lot of money they don't have or purchase twenty of something that most people would only buy one of. There is a test on the Seroquel website to see if you are bipolar. A good book to read is called, "An Unquiet Mind." If you you are bipolar you should definitely take medication. It will make the world of difference in your life.
