Router question. Model is 'iptime' but very obscure model. tried everything i could think of to no avail. using a Macbook. connected via wireless when i disable and go hard-wire internet rolls over and dies. do i need a new router?

What is that router connected into for internet access. Usually the wireless ports will die before the wired ones so that is strange.

You may indeed have a bad router, I have had a few die on me over the years. If you can find the mfgs website, you might try updating the firmware. Often when routers fail to route its just a firmware issue in the router. So that would be worth a shot.. If you can't find an update, just give up and get a new router. (The aggrevation alone isn't worth the cost!)
