I think Patrice Evra is quite under rated. You could see his potential last season and this year he has worked hard and is getting results. He is going to be a valuable asset for United. He is very good at taking the ball forward and his skills are developing well. Not easy to dispossess and fairly consistent now in his performances and he's quick and thinks about where his passes go etc. Another 12 months and he will be a very good defender. He works hard, is a team player and doesn't slack off. His growing confidence has seen him begin to shine.

I was talking briefly about Evra in a previous answer. I was at Old Trafford last night and for me he was the Man Of The Match. In the last year or so he's really come on a bundle, much stronger, more aggresive, better going forward, better passing!! I think Fergie hit the jackpot when he bought Evra, he's gonna be a star over the next few years.
I must say too, I was a bit sceptic about Heinze going cause I was a fan of his but King Fergie has made the right decision once again!!

Evra is good, in any other team he would look great, when you are surrounded by so many star players it is difficult to really shine, also i think he needs another season before we see the best of him, if this team is the best that Fergie has built then what will we see next season? there are so many brilliant players in the squad, like Evra, who really need more time to improve, the whole team at the moment are incredible. take care and good luck.

To be honest, even as an UTD fan, I didn't realy rate him that well, until the last few games he has played.
But he seems to have come out of his shell and is showing us his capabilities no.

he is more than capable, a left back should not be quick or skillful, we are graced with both, i'm hoping he develops a good understanding with nani, i am worried too many of the present team play out of position(which is absolutely great to watch)but swapping wingers is one thing, having 2 attacking full backs, combined with the amount of movement from, rooney, tevez, and hargreaves scares me.
but hey in SIR ALEX we trust.

He is a good player but attacks more than he defends.......
I would put John Terry ahead of him
