I love the thought of a supermans birthday being celebrated by giving gifts. I dislike a fat man sneaking into your house and eating my oreo cookies.

It is a wonderful time of year to renew friendships & draw closer to family. It is lovely to see a softening in people & a more giving spirit prevail. People are generally happier & more open to others.
The sad thing is there appear to be those who are determined to stamp out the true meaning of Christmas & what it is we are celebrating. Christ's birthday & all that means for us as the human race.
No other culture experiences this when they are celebrating their special days.
If in communist times you tried to stamp out the memory of Marx, or Indian's celebrated Independence day but tried to conceal the contribution of Mahatma Ghandi or Nehru or at Rammadam the memory of the Muslim prophet was considered improper that would be considered blasphemy.
It would be inconceivable even to those who do not share such faiths or political views.
In a democratic society the prerogative of peoples to worship or celebrate should be respected. Not used as an excuse to hide or repress their true meanings with the lame reason that others of different persuasions would be offended. How ridiculous.
Christmas & Jesus Christ are part of our heritage & culture & one that deserves every effort to preserve.
Long Live Christmas!

My favorite thing about Christmas is the meeting and greeting of relatives and all the love you receive during this time of year.
What I don't like about Christmas is how man diverted the attention away from it being about God to focus on gifts and material items that you dish out to relatives and hope to receive.

My fave thing about Christmas is getting to spend time with friends and family. It has to do with everything. When you get reunited with friends and/or family, you receive presents, have fun with them and get to spend time with them - the people you care about the most.
It's about knowing how much your friends and family love and care about you no matter what you are and what you have:)
The worst thing may probably be when you don't have anyone to spend Christmas with. Not receiving presents are not too bad. The worst thing may be knowing that there's no one out there who cares for you when everyone else is happy being with their loved ones.

I love watching others open the presents I bought them. My favorite thing is if they really love the gift. My least favorite thing is if they seem indifferent or even disappointed by my gift.
The only other thing I dislike is if my wife makes herself nuts over it. If she does not stress herself out it is much nicer. She is doing that less and less as we age. That is good!

The best: the look on the children's faces, the nativity plays, the lights, the excitement.
The worst: the complainers, the Scrooges, the hard work and the expense.
But it's worth it.
