Religion , race, and language differences are what makes for borders in the first place .

We have not evolved past our clannish ways yet and groups of people with common interests ,religions, languages ,and rituals seem to congregate regardless of borders creating their own .

In a free nation without borders so to speak we have , the Amish ,southern Baptists , china towns in every city , little Havana's all over Florida , Little Puerto Rico , in New York , and black communities scattered In and around every major city in America .

If the population centers of these groups borders next to one another then we get GANG activity .

Think of the United States as a Gang that got attacked on 9-11 by another gang and now you have the picture of what the world would look like without borders only gangs of people with grudges to settle with others .

Each community has a police force to maintain some order among the gangs so what force will keep nations from activities like invading Iraq and other such invasions like in Columbia with the drug wars and arresting Noreagia in Panama for not being willing to commit troops to attack its neighbors .

I have to wonder why taking down the borders would help .

Till man becomes more evolved and kicks religion to the curb and begins to understand we are all the same people from the same parents over 100,000 years or so ago in a region of Africa where all people have dark skin and nappy hair we will never be able to do without borders . Just as black bears become brown and brown bears became white , people have skin colors to match the environment in which they live and work .

If we continue to work in offices we will become lilly white pasty and a day in the sun will cause severe burns .

Soon we will be forced under ground in oh say 100,000 years , if we continue to sit indoors typing on keypads and making a living trading worthless paper , and taking all the benefits from those who work for a living outside building and constructing the world , and planting and harvesting the food .

Those who indeed give us the most are rewarded the least .

Like Martin Luther King Said "I have a dream " ..........

Isn't that what the new world order is all about?

Europe's sort of moving that way with their single currency, that's the first step, but would you really want to take on the responsibility of supporting some of the third world countries? It'll take centuries for some of these cultures to get to the point where they can join the first world. The first world has been trying for decades to bring the third world up to par and has failed miserably.

Then, can you imagine the incredible power of a single 'world president'? You pretty much have to have a chief executive. Committees like the U.N. or congress are very, very inefficient at getting anything done. But the power of a world chief executive would be incredible and I'd have a hard time trusting such an individual with that much power.

Still, I think it's possible, but no time soon.

What your describing is marksism... A utopian world where everyone works for the common good of all mankind, or atleast the that country... It didnt work out well for the former soviet union, you can ask the peoples republic of cuba how well its working for them as well...

If you were to read what carl marks has written about marksism you would understand that there is a way to create a utopia on earth... but the greed of man prohibits this, anytime you put anyone in anykind of power they exploit it...

I really hope this vision you have never turns into reality for this reason alone... Lots of people have it, push for it here in the us... theese people normally do not have a good idea of history, if they did they would beable too look back and see that theese ideas are doomed from the start.

I don't know about the borderless part, but the one world religion will be a reality during the period the Bible calls the Great Tribulation. You don't want to be around when it happens because it's going to be bad.

No. Too much power and resources to exploit. Only when humans stop being animals will a borderless world be possible.

It will never happen. There is a human tendency to dissolve into tribalism and violence that overrides the occasional peaceful periods. The only global movement we are likely to have now is a world war followed by the drawing of new borders.

What you are describing is called Utopia. Although I would love to see the world's population live up to this I seriously doubt we will see it happen, at least in our lifetime. I think it is very sad that countries go to war with others over religous beliefs. I don't understand why we all can't live and let live. I also think the first step towards Utopia is a money-less society(although that will NEVER happen).

Not a distant dream, a distant nightmare.

Do you really want to live in a world where you can't protect yourself against those who might want to harm you?

Borderless sounds good in a utopia, but the world is not a perfect place, and until we reach a level where all of mankind is perfect and honest and peaceful, borders are a wonderful and sensible thing.

It won't happen in my lifetime. It might be possible at some distant time when all countries share a single standard of living.

Dream? You liberals must be crazy!

It's the nightmare that we are currently living. Thieves with less than we have stealing what they didn't earn, like education, healthcare and other benefits that they are not entitled to.
