Blacks Beach.. the cliffs are murder! Climbing down naked didn't help much! Then I lost my sun screen! Ugh, what a day!

ugh Virginia Beach. For many reasons, first there is almost nothing to do there. It's not even targeted towards any particular audience. The locals are nasty. The beach is small and not very well taken care of.

The biggest thing...the drive to get there was horrible! Miles on a rural highway is about the only way in from the North.

Sorry Virginia, but I will never go there again.

ANY of the beaches on the Cheseapeake Bay - the Bay bottom is muddy/slimey and yucky, not to mention in the summer the jellyfish are horrible! Give me the good old real ocean anytime, and preferably the Caribbean where my chances with man biting sharks is quite low.

Edit- interesting response below mine...Virginia Beach's main beach is over 4 miles long...and extremely wide...it's super clean! Always has been. The locals are some of the nicest I've ever met and I've been there over 12 times. It is accessible from the North by Interstate 95- then 295 and then Rte 64...wonderful highways...wonder when the answerer was there? Va. Beach has clubs, mega shopping, great restaurants; the boardwalk has open air live entertainment EVERY night....etc etc etc...odd....'nothing to do' huh?

Never met a beach I did not love. Being from Minnesota we have over 10,000 lakes ,but does not compare to the ocean beach at all.

NONE Wally. I would relish the chance of having a holiday, near a beach, because I haven't had one, holiday that is, for 11 years. Any old beach would do I'm not fussy> Lol!

Virginia Beach -- it's been many years, but when I visited it last was in the aftermath of an oil spill -- what a mess.

I've seen so many beautiful beaches.
There is one in Sabine Pass Texas, it has the biggest mosquito's on the planet. Right as the sun set, here they come. There are so many of them, they have killed cattle.
