my brother was hit in the head with a pipe does anyone know any legal action i can take. because the cop wouldnt even press charges against the boy who did it.

Hitting the head with a pipe is constitute as physical injuries as defined in the Penal Laws.

You can try presenting your case to the county public defenders office and see if they will present the case to the district attorney. Or, you can hire your own attorney and file a civil suit against the person who hit your brother with the pipe. As for you, there is nothing you can do personally since you are not a party to the action. Personally, if your brother was injured and had to receive medical treatment, I would go the civil route.

Why doesn't he go and hit the boy who hit him? Don't depend on the law to fight your battles, because it has little effect these days. Maybe he should learn to stand up for himself, and not go crying to the teacher in situations like this.
