No I never did because I always felt if a child asked a question they deserve a truthful age appropriate answer. Mind you , I did tell white lies about Santa and the Easter Bunny.

There are many old wives tales: don't read in poor light, getting your feet wet will make you sick, getting to cold will make you sick, etc.

These would not be generally used in telling stories.

No, I don`t believe in them. But I do make sure my son covers his ears in the cold and wind and mom always said if you don`t you will get an ear infection. When really it was caused by the second hand smoke in our household.
