hi ya, i had a coil fitted a year ago and since i had it done ive suffered with nasty pains on my left side, i was also bleeding after intercourse plus it hurt to do anything, i had it removed a few days ago and the doctor told me my uterus had eroded what does this mean?

Erode--means to corrode or eat away.

So an eroded uterus doesn't sound good. you need to talk to your doctor again for a better explanation.

after an online search, apparently this is a common problem with IUDs and this is why doctors only recommend IUDs to women who don't plan on having children.
