I want to plant a pine tree in my yard. The problem is I live in the mid-west and need something that meets the following requirements.

1. Grows fast
2. Grows tall (100' or more)
3. Can survive the winters here.

Please help and thanks

How about a Loblolly pine? Grows to max of 150ft and grows very rapidly. And Douglas S....A silver maple is not a pine tree and the mid-west was given.
