News of the meeting (pj's & Forensic lab) comes as the McCanns, from Rothley, came under attack from the lawyer of Robert Murat, a suspect in the case.
Francisco Pagarete (lawyer for local odd ball Murat) said Mr and Mrs McCann "deserve to be cursed" for leaving their children alone.
In an interview with the Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas, he said: "What they deserve is for somebody to curse them, to make them pay for having left three children unprotected.
"On top of it all, they have bank accounts which are stuffed full," he said.
Mr Pagarete said as the case drags on, Mr Murat, his mother and girlfriend are paying a financial price.
"[They] see their names daily dragged through the mud and they are on the verge of bankruptcy."

Do you think Murat is not paying lawyer fees & this has driven the lawyer to spew such vitriol about the McCanns? Is it not "curse" enought that they have lost their darling daughter through a mistake? The man is deranged ! Most unprofessional.

Why do people constantly make references to the Social Status of the McCanns. They had money before this nightmare entered their life. Why are people so nasty and envious. Even a so called "professional" lawyer has vented his envy for their financial status. I find it unbelievable that this is all people are concerned about.

MADELEINE IS STILL MISSING!

We can NEVER allow Madeleine to be forgotten.

They are doctors. As a GP, Mrs McCann will have been required to write reports for social services on parent competency in child care cases. They will have studied child abuse and had exam's in that subject.
They are afluent.
It is not envy which is the point.
The point is that they could afford a babysitter, better still - they could have kept the holiday a family holiday and put the childrens happiness first.
or - left the children with their capable grandparents and enjoyed a week on their own.

Instead, they chose not to do any of these things and unfortunately don't have any excuses.

I think they are suffering for this in the worst way imaginable, but it is little Maddy that has ultimately paid the price of arrogance.

I do think the lawyers terminology is of dubious quality, but I have a feeling that he is looking from the perspective of his clients point of view, and for that I cannot fault him. Were he not being paid for his services, then he would cease acting for Mr Murat immediately, he is a lawyer after all!

The parents are to blame and if it was anybody else then Social Services would have taken the children in to care for neglect, but because they are Doctors ranks have been closed. It's a disgrace that they have not been brought to task for leaving the children alone. I think the lawyer for Murat is only saying what many, many people are thinking.

I don't think anyone is envious of people who lost their child.
As for the money, why didn't they use their own cash in their "Maddie Campaign" rather than begging for charitable donations?
Most of us realise that in life we pay for our mistakes, the McCanns have paid a high price by losing their child, but that is not justice, they have not paid a judicial price for leaving their children unattended and as sure as night follows day, if it had been a single unemployed mother she'd be campaigning from her jail cell.
As you are aware the McCanns are both doctors; so next time you go for a checkup just say in passing that you had to leave your kid at home alone, but not to worry as it's only a twenty minute appointment and if you stand on your tiptoes you can see the corner of your House from the surgery window..... you'll be in a jail cell before you can say "what's a social worker" !

I think hes absolutely correct why is it that the McCanns are suspects as well yet they leave the country and broadcast the 'McCanns are blameless good parents' Panonrama show while that poor odd ball though he may be is treated like a peado with no evidence against him as far as I can see is there not more evidence against the parents?

Blame the victim's family and then perhaps we can forget the victim.
